The pool table is damaged; how should we handle it?

People often encounter the following situations when using a pool table: purchasing a pool table with quality problems, damage or scratches during transportation and installation, or damage due to prolonged use. How should we deal with these situations?
  Factors Causing Damage:
  1. Directly hitting the ball surface after the tip wears down and exposes the copper ferrule, cracking the ball or leaving a crescent-shaped mark.
  2. The ball is damaged by impact when dropped on a cement floor without carpet.
  3. The ball undergoes chemical deformation due to high temperature or fire.
  4. Normal pollution of the balls in the air.
How should we handle damage to a pool table?
  Cleaning Methods:
  1. Add an appropriate amount of liquid detergent to a basin of lukewarm water (around 30 degrees Celsius). Soak the balls in the water for about 5-10 minutes. If there is any dirt on the surface of the balls, use a soft brush to clean it off.
  2. Remove the balls and rinse them in another basin of cold water (around 30 degrees Celsius).
  3. After cleaning, wipe the balls dry with a soft, thick towel.
  4. Evenly spray a small amount of glass cleaner onto the surface of the balls and continuously wipe with a dry towel.
  5. If using ball cleaner, apply an appropriate amount of water solution to the surface of the balls and immediately wipe with a dry towel.
  6. Balls used in company units should be cleaned every two weeks, while those in entertainment venues should be cleaned weekly.
Self-adjustment of level, changing the initial state. Moving the pool table by oneself, placing four balls in the four corners to correct crawling, sitting on the slate, causing deformation of the slate; hitting jump shots, causing small pits in the slate from impact, changing the ball path.
Self-disassembly of the pool table, resulting in unevenness at the slate joints, changing the direction of the ball's travel during the game. Strong collision of hard objects with the cushion, aging and hardening of the rubber due to high temperature or prolonged use.
Damage to the cloth alters the ball's rebound angle.
Sitting on or pressing down on the small side support, causing a change in the perpendicularity of the support and the table surface. A powerful shot causing the rebound force to directly act on the chamfered edge of the slate, creating a knife-like tear in the cloth.
A powerful shot damaging the pocket leather, causing the ball to directly hit the copper ferrule and get damaged.
Excessive use of powerful shots, causing the impact force to hit the front of the ball return, loosening the nuts and resulting in balls being stuck or missing.
Regularly check the pockets and return mechanism nuts. The slate rolling ball method is a very simple, useful and visual method to test the quality (slate flatness) of high-end pool tables.
  Specific Steps:
On the pool table slate without cloth, gently push the cue ball to the aiming point, allowing the ball to slowly roll (less than 0.2 m/s) along the test parallel line. If the line does not change, it proves that the flatness of the pool table is acceptable.
When discovering wear and tear on the pool table, first determine if it is a problem with the product itself or improper use, then you can treat the problem accordingly and find the best solution without compromising the use of the pool table.
